ONly is the entire middle cerbral artery is involved with its cortical branches since internal capsular infarct is due to involvement of the middle cerebral artery and if the entire middle cerebral artery is involved it may cause infarct of not only the internal capsule but of the Broca's area and also of the cortical areas.
