Mosquito repellents containing DEET are used in children. Excess use of DEET can cause adverse effects. Baygon may lead to OPC poisoning.

Studies show that prolonged use of mosquito mats using Allethrin can lead to corneal damage, shortness of breath, asthma and even damage liver in the long run.
