A mother is taking Verapamil and Amiodarone for PSVT. Can she breast feed her child?

It is really not very safe to breastfeed in above situation.Verapamil is excreted in breast milk and can cause possible side effects due to negative inotropic effect.Amiodarone is also excreted in breast milk.There is substantial intraction between verapamil and Amiodarone can cause bradycardia.So alternative methods of feeding should be considered if there is no other choice for these anti-arrythmic agents.
