A girl aged 10 months has a low neutrophil count - 400. The child is asymptomatic and never been sick. What should be the cause and to what extent it is important to follow up with more, and other invasive procedures, such as a bone marrow aspiration?

Looks like suppression due to a febrile illness. Else, benign neutropenia.
