A 4 year old child who has had fever of 1 month duration. On investigation was found to have primary complex.{MT plus 20mm} .His SGPT was 280iu. His follow up SGPT after 15 days was 310iu. In v,o raised SGPT, hepatic profile was done which was normal except that he is HBSAg antigen Positive.USG abd. showed hepatomegaly but no e,o cirrhosis. I did not start AKT in v,o raised liver enzymes. What should be further line of management? Raised liver enzymes are due to TB or chronic HBV infection? His viral marker study is awaited.

AKT in the form of Streptomycin and Ethambutol may be given. You will be ablt to give INH and Rifa once the liver enzymes come back to normal.
HBV seems to be the cause of raised LFT rather than TB.
