5 month old female baby with fever and cough. on examination there was congestion of throat. She also has history of straining during micturation since 1 month. Urine exam shows slight turbidity and 24 pus cells. USG abdomen is normal.

it is a bit unusual for a 5 mos female to strain for urination and I would wonder if it is related to Stool. But if it is true I would wonder about a bladder dysfunction and would recommend a renal ultrasound to evaluate bladder emptying as well as looking for any mass effect in the bladder further if this persists would consider a spine ultrasound to make certain there were not a spinal cord abnormality
