1yr1month old male child has a black patch back of tongue,duration over 1 month,slightly raised from surface,no discomfort, scrapping showed presence of fungal mycelia and hyphae and B.Subtalis. Application of antifungal mouthpaint and repeat swab exam shows no fungus. The black patch is still present but level with neighbourhood. What is the cause and management?

It is a fungal infection and antifungal mouthpaint will be required for a long time till the black patch disappears.

it is because of overgrowth of mycelial threads.
I think no further treatment is required after antifungal mouthpaint and repeat swab showing no fungus
