Simethicone is a safe, over-the-counter drug for decreasing intraluminal gas, has been promoted as an agent to decrease colicky episodes. Topical Sucralfate Cream has been used on a wide variety of lesions from radiation proctitis and dermatitis to keratoconjunctivitis with remarkable results. Dose used has been 4 percent cream for 6-8 weeks.

Common causes of basophilia are viral infections {varicella}, chronic sinusitis, inflammatory bowel disease, chronic airway inflammation, chronic dermatitis, polycythemia vera, myelofibrosis, chronic hemolytic anemia, Hodgkin’s disease, splenectomy, hypothyroidism.
