Abstract
SARS-Cov-2, commonly known as severe acute respiratory syndrome, is primarily asymptomatic or mild in severity in children, as documented by the COVID-19 spread.1 A unique problem during this worldwide outbreak has been the emergence of "multi-system inflammatory syndrome in children (MIS-C), a rare post-infectious hyper-inflammatory disorder associated with SARS-CoV-2". The patient can present with characteristics such as signs of congestive heart failure, pyrexia, hypotension, and inflammatory conditions. Additionally, this illness has features similar to toxic shock syndrome (TSS), macrophage activation syndrome (MAS), and Kawasaki disease (KD). The purpose of this report is outlining the presenting characteristics, suspected immunopathogenesis, treatment, and prognosis of MIS-C patients.
Why this article important?
This case highlights how important it is to overcome these diagnostic obstacles and help medical professionals diagnose and manage this MIS-C .The detailed clinical manifestations,  symptoms and signs, physical examination, and laboratory results obtained from the patient provide us important information on the unique characteristics of this disease. In the same way, the case report describes numerous approaches to management, chief among them being the use of anticoagulant drugs, providing a point of reference for healthcare professionals managing MIS-C cases and and helping to treat similar cases early on in the future. This case report contributes to our understanding of the increasing number of COVID-19 variations and emphasizes the need of staying current with medical breakthroughs
Summary of article
Covid 19 is a disease that is always changing and can present in many forms. Multi system inflammatory syndrome (MIS-C), an uncommon but dangerous COVID-19 consequence, is one of them. It has characteristics similar to other illnesses such as thromboembolism and Kawasaki disease and can manifest clinically as systemic inflammation, fever, hypotension, and heart failure. Due to the disease's unusual appearance, it can be challenging to diagnose at first. For this reason, this case study emphasizes over the fact that it is very important to identify the disease's characteristics, pathophysiology, treatment options, and potential consequences in patients with the condition.
