Will giving packed cell transfusion alter bone marrow cytology and bone marrow cytogenetic studies in a suspected case of acute leukemia?

I believe it should not, however, Blood Tx can rarely induce complete remission in patients of ALL and we have seen a couple of such cases` but it does not happen in a day or 2 but takes weeks to see it. One explanation for this could be that Bl Tx is a powerful immunomodulator. But if there is an indication for Tx saving life is more important.
