Post DPT vaccination can we apply pain relieving ointment like diclonac at site to give temporary relief?

There is no role of local aplication of pain releiving agents in post DPT injection. One or two doses of paracetamol is the best analgesic and antpyretic recommended and does wonder.In the absence of enough data on safety of other non steroidal anti inflammatory agents in infants,it is better to avoid these drugs
