Patient baby 35 weeks presented with RDS and received survanta.
The umbilical catheter was introduced and generalized edema was observed 0n day 2.
Lab invest crp 24 serum creatinine 1.1 serum urea 47
serum Albumin 2.5
the baby dies on day 3
What is the possible cause of edema in this case?
The baby had bleeding from the stomach on day 2. and PT, PTT was elevated.

Since creatinine was high, the edema may be related to that. The coagulopathy may have caused the bleeding.
