ON DAY 2 OF FEVER HOW CAN WE DIFFERENTIATE BETWEEN VIRAL FEVER , TYPHOID FEVER , OR FEVER DUE TO RENAL CAUSE ON CLINICAL EXAMINATION.

Usually viral fever has a prodrome of cough. cold or diarrhea. There will also be bodyache. Bacterial infection usually starts with fever. One should always rule out UTI in a patient with fever without focus. Typhoid fever is accompanied by hepatomegaly usually.
