Male child 3 half "Years" with persistent catarrh and coughs, chest Xray shows huge thymic shaddow,other tests like blood,Mx test normal, this Thymus shadow was present in his xray at age of 2yrs. also,I have not seen radiogrhic evidence of"persistnent thymus" for so long, Pl advise.

Thymus is usually seen on X ray chest till 9 months of age. If persistent, rule out other causes of superior mediastinal widening. Also if thymus persists but is asymptomatic, leave it alone or try a short course of steroids.
