What is the fluid management in a case of pediatric burns after initial 2 days, particularly if the initial 2 days management documentation is not available, unknown. Is it mandatory that the urine output has to be maintained at a rate of More than 4ml, kg, hr_?

Expert Answer :
No, at that point urine output should be 0.5 to 1 ml, kg, hr.

If the child appears to be fluid-overloaded, then a gentle diuretic might be appropriate. Check the serum sodium-children are prone to hyponatremia during the first few days after a burn resuscitation.
