I have had lot of cases of perinatal HIV with DNA PCR positive but subsequent ELISA negative. Any comments.

the ELIZA is used in older children..usually more than two years of age because the mother's antibodies is found in the infant. once the neonate is diagnosed positive HIV with DNA PCR, subsequent PCR testing should be done and the baby should be treated aggressively. the infant should receive all the immunisation doses and be screened regularly for oppurtunistic infections.
