a 5 month old male has come to me with fourth episode of loose motions . the first attack was at one month of age and at that time stool examination showed lactose intolerance. he has been on lactose free milk since then. every month he has episodes of watery stools. x_ray showed pneumonic patches.gave a 5 day course of cefotaxime.his appetite remains good .what is the approach to this patient?

the child most probably will beon artifical feeding . stop that andstart on breast feeding .meanwhileinvestigate for enteral infections
