Modified Asthma Predictive Index (mAPI)

≥4 wheezing episodes/year
Major Criteria
Parent with asthma
Patient has atopic dermatitis
Patient with aeroallergen sensitivity (ex: hay fever)
Minor Criteria
Wheezing unrelated to colds
Eosinophils ≥4% (on CBC)
Patient with allergy to milk, egg, or peanuts
Result :
Negative
Patient less likely to develop asthma by age 11.

Instructions

Applicable to pediatric patients ≤3 years old.
