What is the diagnosis?

Discussion :
Systemic lupus erthematosus (SLE). The most characteristic rash is seen across the malar region of the face, the so-called "butterfly rash" that is accentuated by sun exposure. It is differentiated from the rash of Juveile Dermatomyositis (JDMS). In JDMS, the rash is characteristically over the eyelids (may cross bridge of nose and include nasolabial folds).
