Coarctation of aorta

Question :
Spot diagnosis

What is the diagnosis?

Discussion :
Coarctation of aorta. This CT angiography clearly demarcates the narrowing of descending aorta. Coarctation of aorta can be detected by feeling the lower limb pulses and checking the blood pressure in all 4 limbs. It will lead to poor lower limb pulses and high blood pressure in upper limbs with low BP in lower limbs. Every child with Congestive cardiac failure should be evaluated for coarctation of aorta.
