I am a neonatology residdent at Nair Hospital Mumbai.
We have a preterm baby with h, o HEV infection in mother.
We did the blood groups of baby and parents.
Baby blood group Oplus
Both parents ABplus
We did the blood groups of elder sibling Oplus
We repeated the blood grps from 2 different labs and thrice.
We also ruled out exchange of baby.
We would like to know what is the possibility of this happening normally.
Kindly also provide the references for the same.
Thanks.

Expert Answer :
Hi

I am not an expert - probably you are best asking this question a Paediatric Haematologist or a Pathologist. But I know that it is possible because of LYON Hypothesis and it is not common - but both siblings being Oplus - that`s bit difficult to explain I guess or possible coincidence or some other mechanism..............
