Route :
Ingestion
Fatal Dose :
8 to 15gms
Fatal Period :
6hrs
Clinical Picture :
•Headache, giddiness, ringing in ears, partial deafness, disorders of vision
•Pupils are fixed and dilated
•Nausea , vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea, mental confusion, muscular weakness
•Itching, erythematous or urticarial rash on the skin
•Methemoglobinemia
•Tachycardia, hypotension, cyanosis
•Cinchonism: caused by repeated therapeutic overdose

Treatment :
•Gastric lavage
•i.v. fluids to promote dialysis
Symptomatic
