Tenofovir Alafenamide Fumarate

Synonyms :

Indication :

  • Chronic hepatitis B
  • HIV infection

Dosing :

Available as 25 mg tablet.
Chronic Hepatitis B:
Adults:
25 mg (one tablet) taken orally once daily with food
HIV infection:
Children >6 years and >25 kg:
25 mg once daily in an antiretroviral therapy regimen that does not include a ritonavir- or cobicistat-boosted protease inhibitor (PI).

Adverse Effect :

Asthenia, diarrhea, nausea, pain, anorexia, depression, myalgia, peripheral neuropathy, dyspepsia, rash, headache, vomiting, flatulence, abdominal pain, neutropenia, increased transaminases, lactic acidosis. The renal and bone toxicity is less as compared to TDF.


Hepatic Dose :

No dosage adjustments are recommended.
