Cerliponase Alfa

Mechanism :

Cerliponase alfa is a proenzyme that, once activated, cleaves tripeptides from the N-terminus of proteins.


Indication :

  • Neuronal ceroid lipofuscinosis type 2

Contraindications :

Acute intraventricular access device-related complications, ventriculoperitoneal shunts.


Dosing :

≥3 years:
Intraventricular: 300 mg once every other week.

Adverse Effect :

ECG abnormality, Abnormal proteins in cerebrospinal fluid, seizure, pleocytosis, headache, vomiting, hematoma, hypersensitivity reactions, antibody formation, fever, bradycardia, hypotension, jitteriness, catheter infection.


Interaction :

No known significant interactions.



Hepatic Dose :

No dosage adjustments are recommended.
