Acetohydroxamic Acid
Indication :
- Chronic UTI caused by urea splitting organisms.
Dosing :
10 mg/kg/day orally in 3-4 divided doses. Take on empty stomach.
Adverse Effect :
In first 48 hours, may cause headache. Other adverse effects are anorexia, nausea, myalgia, vomiting, anxiety, confusion, depression, hemolytic anemia, shakes.
Hepatic Dose :
No dosage adjustments are recommended.
