Question
My son is 14 months old. He had the mmr vaccination a month ago. Today I have noticed 2 not very tender reddish eruptions on the front of his thigh and leg. Is that related to the vaccination? Can it be erythema nodosum?
Answer
The rash of measles or rubella is seen within 15-20 days of the vaccination. It may be mild and self limiting. If it persists, consult a doctor as it is difficult to comment on the cause of the rash without having a look at the rash.
