Question
My four month old had rotavirus with a febrile seizure. The doctor has assured me that the seizures are an isolated event. My child had an EEG and CAT scan. Should I be worried?
Answer
With an infection, usually febrile seizures are seen and are usually seen after 6 months of age. Since your child had rotavirus, one may also consider electrolyte imbalance and also low blood calcium should always be ruled out. Back to All Questions
