Question
I have 2 sons aged 3 yrs and 9 months. At birth both of them did not have the foreskin. It looked like they were circumcised. The doctors checked and did a renal ultrasound and everything was normal. I would like to know what is this condition and whether is it normal for certain babies to be born like this? Is there anything else that has to be medically done for my kids? Kindly reply. Thanks much.
Answer
It can be associated with a condition called as hypospadias - an abnormal opening of the urethra. Or else it could be an isolated birth anomaly. If they do not have any urinary problems and otherwise are normal, one need not do anything about it.
