Question
My child has Cerebral Palsy. Is there any treatment for CP? Is CP repeats to next child? Thanks
Answer
The treatment for cerebral palsy is symptomatic in the form of physiotherapy, splints, surgery, botox and baclofen for the limb spasticity. Drugs to control fits are also used if the child has convulsions. The cause of cerebral palsy is varied. Depending upon the cause the recurrence in the next child varies. However if cerebral palsy was due to birth asphyxia, then chances are not increased.
