My sisters 2 months old daughter (D.O.B. 11th August) was given following medicine for treatment of severe cold on 19th Sep. : inj. Betnasol, inj cefantral, drop sporidex, drop TUS Q, Drop betnasol, Aristozyne, phenargan & few medicine was continued for 9 days(steroid). From 27th Sep., her hand & leg movement has slowed down. Today on 13th October, leg movement is nil. Polio drop was given on 15th August. Please advice for early & proper treatment.
Answer
Your child needs to be admitted as she has some sort of paralysis. The cause of paralysis should be ruled out, such as meningitis, brain abscess or even polio. She may even require a neuroimaging in the form of CT scan. She needs urgent intervention.
