Question
My 3 year old son has had headache and fever 101 F - 103 F for two days now. Doctor said he could find nothing wrong and it must be viral. I am very worried about the forehead ache. When it begins to hurt a lot, he tells me. I notice that his fever spikes at that time and he has also vomited at that time. This has happened four times. He eats, plays and sleeps okay. Do you have any suggestions?
Answer
If the vomiting is projectile, he could be suffering from meningitis. Anyway with fever and headache, one should rule out meningitis. A thorough examination by the doctor would be required. Other conditions such as ear infection, sinusitis should also be kept in mind.
