Question
My son is 3 yrs old and I was told today that he has pink eye. Its symptoms are blood shot eye not pink, its the right one, also teary no discharge. He has also complained of stomach ache and that his mouth was sore and is also running a fever of 102.3. I am not able to get his fever down below 99.7.This sure doesn't seem like pink eye to me. Please, let me know what you think

This looks like a viral fever with conjunctival congestion (blood shot eyes), high fever, sore mouth and stomach ache. A viral fever usually causes conjunctival congestion, runny nose, generalized body ache, muscle pains, diarrhea or vomiting and high fever that lasts for 3-5 days. Your child would need treatment in the form of antipyretics and eye drops. Consult your doctor for the same
