Question
Thanking you for developing such a site, which will help lot of parents to care about their children. My question is 'My 4 months baby always after feeding milk (external) not the breast feed, vomiting some milks. And this has been a regular habits seen on him. Though as per local child specialist, it occurs in a natural, way, but we think this is quite beyond nature, some observations shows us when we tried him to keep sleeping after feeding he did not behaves, but when he is not slept, he behaves in such manner.
Answer
Infants do tend to bring up small quantity of milk every now and then. It is known as regurgitation and is a benign condition. It is due to the swallowed air that they take along with the food. They usually outgrow it. As long as your child is putting on weight and is playful , there is nothing to worry. It would be worthwhile to burp him after the feeds so that the swallowed air is removed. Also, if you are bottle feeding him, check the size of the nipple. If it is too small, your child may swallow more air in trying to suck the milk leading to regurg.
