Question
My son is 14 and complaining of a nasal drip, mild coughing and soreness in his throat. Tonight he made me palpate small nodules on either side of his throat. What are the possible diagnoses if he is without fever or lethargy? Thanks.
Answer
He seems to be suffering from an upper respiratory tract infection with the nodules being palpable glands. It could be sinusitis, viral sore throat etc. Give him hot water gargles with salt and if there is fever, consult a doctor.
