Is there any side effect of Isoniazid Drug?
Answer
Isonaizid is an anti TB drug. Though it is a very safe drug . There are some side effects seen such as reversible liver dysfunction that reverts with stopping the drug and nervous system affection in the form of tingling or decrease sensation in the peripheral nerves that is combated by giving pyridoxine along with the drug. However, in children the periphral neuropathy is not seen and the commonest side effect is liver toxicity.
