Answer
Treatment of intestinal lymphangiectasia consists of dietary, medical and behavioral modifications. Dietary modifications include a low-fat, low salt diet and substitution of long-chain fatty acids with medium-chain fatty acids. Medications such as bulking agents, drugs to control diarrhea may be used. Surgery is not indicated in primary cause, however may be useful in secondary causes. Back to All Questions
