Question
My baby has got moderate BBTD disease. One tooth has been fallen, I am afraid for other 3 decayed teeth. The only solution that doctors suggest is to make custom fit crowns for his teeth by anaesthesy. I would appreciate your readiness to share your knowledge if you give me information that what are the latest treatment methods in case of moderate BBTD (baby bottle tooth decay)? I want to be sure that the crowns are the only way to save the space and prevent destroy of current decayed tooth. Thank you so much for your interest in children tooth health.
Answer
BBTD, does need extensive treatment, and fittings crowns to save the teeth seems to be the best idea available. Since the work is extensive, and also sometimes traumatic, the treatment is best done under sedation, or anaesthesia, as the dentist advises.
