Question
Is it okay if my 1 1/2 month old daughter does not have motions for more than 2 days? For example 5 days. She passes urine normally, keeps on trying to pass motion, and does not cry at all while trying to pass motions!
Answer
It is perfectly normal for infants to not pass motions for couple of days. Each infant has its own cycle, some pass 4-5 times a day whereas some pass only once a week! As long as the child is not irritable, does not cry on passing stools and is comfortable, there is nothing to worry about.
