Question
My Period, started at age 11, how many years does it last? I've head the earlier it starts the faster it ends, approximately 30 years is this true. When should a person's period end if it starts at age 11?
Answer
Menses may last till the age of 40-45 years. It does not matter whether it started early or late, it depends on the number of ova that are fertile. By the time the menses start about 400 ovum can be fertilized and each cycle the ovaries release one ovum. Thus approximately, the cycle would last for 400 times.
