Question
Sir also in the biology book of 10 and 11 class it was written that when one person is tall and its genotype is Tt and one person is dwarf and its genotype is tt and they both cross over each other then three children will be tall and one will be dwarf . What does this mean?? I am not able to explain you my problem .Could you please talk to me. I want to ask you that "what is genotype ratio"?
Answer
A tall person can have a genotype of TT or Tt where 'T' is the dominant gene. A short person has the genotype of tt. Now if person with Tt gene mates with tt, the various genotypic combinations that can occur are Tt, Tt, tt, tt. Thus there are 50% chance that a child may be tall or short.
