Question
My baby had been throwing up since he was born and he is now 1 year old. He will drink his milk, but will not keep solid food down. He is a happy baby and otherwise healthy. He has had a barim test as well as an endoscopy and the gastro specialist says everything is fine, I don't know what else to do. Any suggestions he was 21 pounds and now he is 20 pounds!so he has lost a pound, which is not good. There has to be something wrong. Am I right?
Answer
Since he is tolerating liquids and throwing up solids, it seems unlikely, there is any stomach problem or regurgitation as with regurg, tolerating liquids is a problem. However, there may be a problem with coordination and what he would require is mashing up of food till he can tolerate semi solid and then finally solid food.
