Question
My 6 month old baby girl has been coughing now for more than ten days without fever, we have tested her for bacterial infection and strep throat but the results are negative.
She coughs violently several times through out the day and night. Phlegm consistency seems thick yet clear. During these episodes, she turns dark red and chokes, and struggles to breathe.
HELP!!!
Answer
Rule out pertussoid cough. She may require antibiotics of the macrolide group for the cough. Consult her pediatrician for the same
