Question
My two year old son has what looks like chickenpox, only lightly on his front diaper area. He has been exposed to an adult who had chickenpox just two weeks ago. My question is can my child have chickenpox even though he had the vaccine last year?
Answer
Yes, it is possible to get chickenpox even if the child is vaccinated. However the illness is usually mild and short lived.
