Question
I understand that when mothers fully breast feed, their menstruation does not come as it is a natural contraception. My baby is now 8 months old & I am still breastfeeding her. However my menstruation has started. Is it because I have started solid food for my baby & she is not drinking as much as she used to? Will the cycle stop again?
Answer
Yes, when weaning is started the menstruation starts in the mother and that is the time the natural contraception is not effective. The cycles may be irregular in the beginning but may normalize after a few months.
