Question
My 2 yr old daughter has been repeatedly getting boils in her groin area for approximately a year now. It's usually one or two at a time and they get pretty large. My pediatrician prescribed an ointment to apply that does make them go away after a few days, however they leave a dark purplish scar. Why does she continue to get these?
Answer
Get all the members in the family to have their nasal swab done to rule out carriage of the germ that may be leading to repeated infections. Consult your pediatrician for the same.
