Question
My 7 year old son has developed a cluster of what look like little blisters on his arm. I thought they were warts as he has some on his hands but they have become itchy and he has now developed some more on his back, and a couple on his face. They are a white/cream colour and just look like a little blister. He is scratching them and they are becoming red and sore. My doctor doesn’t seem to know what they are.
Answer
Blisters with itching could be due to a viral infection. Since it started on the arm and then spread to the face, one should rule out chickenpox and also herpes simplex virus infection. Consult your pediatrician for the same.
