Question
My daughter 7years 4months was suffering from NS last October 2005, she takes steroid 10mg alternate day and the protein is 2 plus. We did brought her back to hospital for checkup cos of the puffy eyes, the doctor said now is not the time to increase the dose, but I still very worried, can you advise me?
Answer
If the urine is 2+ and she is puffy, one needs to increase the dose of steroids. It is necessary to ensure that her urine becomes nil for proteins and for that long term steroids may be required.
