Question
Has the safety of use of quinolones in children established. Can we use them in pediatric practice?
Answer
Though quinolones are not approved for use in children below 18 years of age due to risk of damage to developing cartilage, there are various studies that have found quinolones to be safe not only in children but also in neonates.
