Specialist Answers
Question
My grand daughter will be 5 in July and has had 3 episodes of terrible pains in her legs and hips and knees. Sometimes she limps because she cannot walk. I am so worried since her doc suspects sinuvites. Is there a specialist I can take her to?
Answer
Pain in hips and knees is suggestive of joint pain (arthralgia or arthritis). Sinusitis is infection of the nasal sinuses and not the joints. Show her to a pediatrician at the earliest.
