Please help us .Where can we take him for operation? We heard about Calcutta research centre and Christian missionaries hospital in Madras(Chennai). But how can we take decision where we take him for operation . Please help me. I am child's father. I want cure of my child.
Answer
From your history that we could make out, it seems your child had imperforate anus and probably your child underwent a colostomy. What is important to know is whether the colostomy (the opening on the belly to remove the stools) has been closed or not? He needs a pull down surgery to connect the intestine with anus. You need to consult a pediatric surgeon in any good tertiary level hospital that has a pediatric surgery department.
